GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENTS SHALL BE RECEIVED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GOVERNING BODY MEETING AND LIMITED TO THREE MINUTES PER INDIVIDUAL WITH A TOTAL TIME LIMIT OF 30 MINUTES FOR ALL PUBLIC COMMENTS.
UNLESS OTHERWISE MODIFIED BY THE CHAIR.

UM, JUST FOR, YOU KNOW, UH, PURPOSES OF EDUCATING THE RESIDENTS OF LAHABRA, UH, REGARDING THAT ITEM AS IT'S MENTIONING A ROOF REPLACEMENT, BUT I, I WANNA MAKE SURE THAT IF POSSIBLE, UM, MAYBE THE CITY CAN PROVIDE INFORMATION OF WHAT OUR INTEREST IS ON THE PROPERTY, UM, AS FAR AS WHY WE'RE REPAIRING THAT ROOF.
UM, PERHAPS WHAT IS OUR STAKE WITHIN THAT MOBILE HOME? UH, THE, THE, THE VIEW PARK MOBILE HOME? I UNDERSTAND WE, UH, MAYBE OWN A FEW TRAILERS, MAYBE SOME LOTS AND MAYBE SOME OF THE AMENITIES THERE.
UH, SO THE CITY, UM, HOUSING AUTHORITY OWNS TWO MOBILE HOME PARKS THAT ARE ON LAMBERT IMMEDIATELY ACROSS THE STREET FROM EACH OTHER.
UM, MOST IF THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE, UH, SPACES THAT ARE RENTED, UM, ARE RENTED TO, UH, INDIVIDUALS THAT OWN THEIR OWN UNITS OR SOME OTHERWISE, UH, LEASE THE UNITS, THE CITY OWNS THE UNDERLYING PROPERTY, THERE MIGHT BE A HANDFUL OF UNITS BETWEEN THE TWO PARKS THAT THE CITY ACTUALLY OWNS.
THE, UM, THE TRAILERS OR THE MOBILE HOME UNITS THAT ARE ON THOSE UNITS THEMSELVES.
AND THEN WE, WE UTILIZE THOSE TO RENT TO, UH, UH, AS LOW INCOME UNITS.
THE PROJECT TONIGHT THAT, THAT THE AUTHORITY IS CONSIDERING APPROVAL FOR IS A PROJECT TO REROOF THREE OF THE BUILDINGS.
THERE ARE A NUMBER OF BUILDINGS THAT THE AUTHORITY OWNS ON THOSE PROPERTIES.
CLUBHOUSES, THERE'S THE, UH, THE MANAGEMENT, UH, THE, UH, SITE MANAGER'S OFFICES AND ONE OF THE BUILDINGS, UH, OR ONE OF THE PROPERTIES THAT HAS A APARTMENT ON IT THAT'S NOT BEING, UM, SUBJECT TO, UH, THE ROOF REPLACEMENT.
UM, BUT THERE IS A, A LAUNDRY ROOM THAT'S BEING REPLACED.
SO, UH, WE'VE BEEN ROUTINELY INVESTING MONEY INTO THESE PARKS FOR THE LAST DECADE.
REALLY OVER THE LAST SIX OR SEVEN YEARS ESPECIALLY.
WE'VE REPAVED ALL THE STREETS, REPLACED, UH, WATER MAINS, UH, REPLACED LANDSCAPING.
WE'VE DONE EX EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS, REALLY TO CREATE A NICE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE RESIDENTS THAT ARE LIVING IN THOSE TWO PROPERTIES.
AND THIS IS ONE OF THOSE PROJECTS TO CONTINUE THAT.
I, I JUST, UM, YOU KNOW, AS SOMEONE WHO'S NEW TO CITY COUNCIL, YOU KNOW, I WOULD, I, I PERSONALLY WOULD'VE NEVER THOUGHT THAT THE CITY WOULD OWN, YOU KNOW, THESE SORTS OF PROPERTIES.
SO IT'S A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ME, AND I KNOW AS I LEARN, I WANNA BE ABLE TO SHARE WHAT I LEARNED, UH, WITH THE

RESIDENTS OF LA HABRA AS WELL.SO IT'S GOOD THAT WE EXERCISE THAT TRANSPARENCY AND PEOPLE GET TO KNOW, UM, THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PROPERTIES THAT WE OWN WITHIN A CITY.
