ENTITLED: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA HABRA WAIVING BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR 90 DAYS FOR STRUCTURES DAMAGED BY THE LA HABRA EARTHQUAKE OF MARCH 28, 2014 FOR REPAIR OF EXISTING LEGALLY PERMITTED IMPROVEMENTS.
Council discussion included: verification that permits are valid for 180 days and can be extended on a case by case basis; clarification that there was a loss of approximately $600,000 of structural damage due to the earth quake on March 28, 2014, which included two water main breaks; and an announcement that the City of La Habra will hold a Town Hall Meeting for earthquake/disaster preparednedd on April 24, 2014, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the La Habra Community Center.
